Creativeland Studios Entertainment is set to bring the tale of Hindu god Lord Krishna to the global stage with its ambitious new project, “Shri Radha Ramanam.”

The India-U.K.-U.S. collaboration aims to present the story of Krishna’s love to international audiences. C. Sajan Raj Kurup, founder and managing director of Creativeland Studios Entertainment, has joined forces with bestselling author Amish Tripathi for this venture. Tripathi, known for his “Shiva Trilogy” and “Ram Chandra” series, has sold over seven million copies of his mythological fiction works. His involvement as creative director on the project brings a wealth of experience in reimagining Indian mythology for contemporary audiences.

Shobha Sant, CEO of Creativeland Studios Entertainment, leads the production team. The project has assembled a roster of industry veterans, including mythology specialist Hardik Gajjar, whose previous work includes the mythology-based series “Siya Ke Ram” (2015-16), who will direct. Cinematographer Ayananka Bose, known for his recent work on popular Bollywood films like “Satyaprem Ki Katha” (2023) and “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar” (2023), will be behind the camera.

The film’s visual effects will be a collaborative effort between studios in Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Mumbai, tasked with recreating ancient Vrindavan, Barsana and Dwarka. Pre-production and VFX asset creation are already underway, with principal photography scheduled to begin in November. The worldwide theatrical release is slated for February 2026.

Creativeland Studios Entertainment’s London-based group company, Creators Inc, will leverage its expertise in content curation for the international market on “Shri Radha Ramanam.” Creators Inc recently scored a win with Warner Bros. and HBO’s acquisition of their documentary “The Commandant’s Shadow” and providing it with a wide theatrical release.

In the U.S., David Unger’s Artist International Group (AIG) will handle representation. Talks are already underway with major exhibitors, potentially setting up “Shri Radha Ramanam” for one of the widest U.S. releases for an Indian film. This project marks a significant step in Creativeland Studios Entertainment’s global strategy. The company recently entered a joint venture with AIG to represent Indian talent worldwide.

Lord Krishna, a central figure in Hinduism, is revered as the eighth avatar of the god Vishnu. Known for his role in the ancient Indian epic “Mahabharata” and as the divine speaker of the “Bhagavad Gita,” Krishna is often depicted as a charismatic and multifaceted deity. His legends, particularly his romantic relationship with Radha, have been a rich source of inspiration for Indian art, literature and culture for centuries.

Kurup said: “Telling stories from India on a global scale is our mission at Creativeland Studios Entertainment and what better than Lord Krishna’s story of love to tell the world, especially for the times we live in now. As they say, in troubled times, love is the best language to heal souls. The story of Lord Krishna is one that speaks of compassion, love and protection, resonating with audiences across the globe. It is great to have Amish and the rest of the strong and passionate global team we have been able to put together to bring this project to life.”

Tripathi added: “Traditional Indian stories have a deep narrative in which you can get pleasurably lost, but also teach you deeper lessons, so that you can live better. I love the script of this movie, not just for its fantastic scale and research, but also how it helps us explore different aspects of love, through the story of Lord Krishna. This movie will be the definitive love story from India to the world; the love story of love stories.”
